High-Rise Condominium Building in Midtown

This twin-tower condominium building in Atlanta contains a ¾ acre rooftop garden on the seventh floor deck and a terrace on the eighth floor.
The rooftop garden was a highly unique and demanding installation project which included such challenges as weight restrictions, waterproofing and plant selection.

The project included nearly 6,000 sq. ft of drainage/filter fabric, 470 cubic yds of soil mix, 81 tons of river rock, 78 tons of drainage gravel, 15 boulders and 40 varieties of drought-tolerant shrubs and perennials. A 40-ton crane was used to lift the materials onto the deck. The project was installed by a 15-member crew that worked daily for more than a month.

The labor-intensive work resulted in a one-of-a-kind rooftop green space in Midtown Atlanta.

Office Building in Alpharetta

This building is a six-story, 160,000 sq ft, Class A office building located on thirteen heavily wooded acres atop one of the highest elevations in North Atlanta.

The landscape encompasses 85,000 sq. ft of fescue turf, 60,000 sq. ft of shrubs, and 1,800 sq. ft of seasonal color beds. The landscape design and installation were completed by HighGrove Partners in 2001 and we have maintained the property ever since.

The grounds are lushly landscaped with a variety of plants and shrubs. Some notable features include 500 feet of Burfordi holly hedges and a vast entrance hill with over five hundred junipers. During the installation, we planted large numbers of dogwoods, Deodar Cedars and Crape Myrtles.The first-class landscape provides a beautiful counterpart to the Class A office building.

Private Residence in Marietta

Our Design/Build team completed this residential project in 2004. The scope for this project included grading and moving approximately 300 cubic yards of soil to create three terraces for outdoor rooms. These areas included a 700 sq. ft swimming pool with a jacuzzi, waterfall, outdoor fireplace, kitchen/cabana, a central lawn terrace and lower children’s area.

Private Residence in Marietta

Our Design/Build team completed this residential project in 2005. The intent of the project was to add an extra dimension to a back patio. HighGrove Partners created a waterfall and koi pond. In addition, a stone step walkway was created to provide the client access to the Chattahoochee National Forest. Woodland plantings were introduced in this area.
