On April 22, 2011 (Earth Day), as part of the Professional Landcare Network’s nationwide Day of Service, HighGrove Partners of Austell, organized a volunteer landscape project at Northside Hospital-Atlanta.  Five landscape projects were conducted around the hospital property, with approximately 70 volunteers that included hospital staff, children from Northside’s Child Development Center and employees and clients of HighGrove Partners.

“We are grateful to HighGrove Partners and to all of the volunteers that came out to support this Earth Day project to improve our campus,” said John Cummings, director of facility services, Northside Hospital.  “Their hard work will be seen and enjoyed by many of the patients, families and friends, employees and physicians, who visit Northside each year.”

Projects included a new vegetable garden and flower bed at the Child Development Center, beautification of the hospital’s Serenity Garden for patients and families and new landscaping in front of the hospital’s Women’s Center and Main entrances.  Premier Growers, ML Masonry, McCorkle Nurseries and Bulk Aggregates donated materials/services for the event.

“It has been a real honor to organize and participate in this community service effort.  Northside Hospital is a great client and we’re thrilled to be able to work together in this unique capacity,” says Jim McCutcheon, chief executive officer of HighGrove Partners.
