Business hours of operation:

Full-time - Monday through Friday between 8AM to 5PM.

Job Summary:

  • Process weekly payroll
  • Interact and provide Payroll support to all levels of management and field personnel about a wide range of related topics.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with time-sheets
  • Working knowledge of payroll procedures and Federal/state/local employment tax laws
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Processes payrolls including entering exceptions, garnishments, and other earnings or deductions.
  • Reviews data imported from time and attendance systems, including time sheets to ensure accurate transfer of hours worked and pay owed.
  • Reviews and audits computed wages and deductions. Corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll. Posts wages and deductions to payroll records.
  • Creates and issues funds to payroll debit cards or direct deposits
  • Creates, cancels and issues manual payroll checks in case of payroll errors or terminations. Stops payment or reversals of live checks or direct deposits.
  • Assists managers and employees with inquiries regarding payroll, garnishments or other legal wage assignments

 

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, v-look up) – required to perform actions at the interview
  • 10-key calculator accuracy by-touch (not by-sight) - required to perform actions at the interview
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Word
  • Works in an office setting, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

 

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Two years of experience with automated payroll processing.
  • Performs Additional Accountabilities as Required
